Network management

Essential to network stability is TCP/IP addressing and routing. Automatic management is handled by the following services:

• DHCP service handles the automatic allocation of IP addresses, as well as communicate the network infrastructure:
• workstations
• network printers
• any other network device
• DNS service handles the translation of IP addresses to DNS names and vice versa.
• the routing connects different network segments.

In addition, time synchronization and access rights are managed by the server.
