Network management
Essential to network stability is TCP/IP addressing and routing. Automatic management is handled by the following services:
- DHCP service handles the automatic allocation of IP addresses, as well as communicate the network infrastructure:
- workstations
- network printers
- any other network device
- DNS service handles the translation of IP addresses to DNS names and vice versa.
- the routing connects different network segments.
In addition, time synchronization and access rights are managed by the server.
