Private Search Engine

This service uses the same technologys as internet search engines, except that it indexes the contents of your personal files.

The textual content of following files are indexed:

• Microsoft®: Excel® (xls,xlsx), Word® (doc, docx), Powerpoint®, Works®
• LibreOffice®, OpenOffice®: Calc, Writer, Impress
• Rich Text Format (rtf)
• Adobe Acrobat® (pdf)
• WEB pages (html,htm,xml)
• Any other text file such as Notepad, source code, scripts, etc.

Files are indexed at there time of safe.

The WEB interface accessed by login and password via https is used for:

• search the textual contents of your files
• search speed: +/- 0.2 seconds
• possibility to combined all the usual internet search wildcard <> () + - etc.
• create directories
• download files
• simple and grouped file saving in selected directory
• move files and directories
• *delete files or entire directories
• etc.

*For files as well as entire directories, you have two delete options:

• simple mode (as practiced by operating system)
• secure remove (destroyed files to make their recovery impossible)
